Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Horses and Cats are very intuitive animals and respond to Reiki usually on the first treatment.
Reiki treatments are 1/2 to 1 hour sessions as needed.

Natural Horsemanship
Basic ground work in the roundpen, ring or field.

The average rider looks to solve riding problems with more riding lessons or expensive gear and harsher bits and completely overlooks the relationship with the horse on the ground.  There are many "trainers" out there who also have no understanding of groundwork or it's value in preparing a horse for work under saddle.

Let us teach you how to work with your horse to develop a natural relationship based on trust and mutual respect.

"There are very few things wrong with a horse that can't be corrected by fixing the person"

 GUINEA HENS

Guinea Fowl are monogomous & are very attentive parents.
Guineas are very passive unless protecting their roost or keets.
If you witness aggressive behavior, there is a nest near by.

Guinea Hens are nature's perfect pest control.  They do a wonderful job of controlling ticks and will also eat mice, snakes, japanese beatles and other pesky bugs and unlike chickens will not damage your plants or flowers.  In addition, the hens lay an egg a day.  The eggs are typically a bit smaller than chicken eggs but just as good.  When managed properly, Guinea Hens can be the perfect compliment to your garden or farm but there is an art to owning Guinea Hens.  Before you decide on whether Guinea Hens are right for you, contact me for a complimentary guide to owning and managing Guinea Fowl.  dmk@abluehorse.com
